After two years of fighting, Ukrainians continue to suffer every day from the effects of russian violence.

 

This year, Moscow has intensified attacks on Ukraine’s civilian energy infrastructure, destroying more than 80 per cent of Ukrainian thermal power plants and 50 percent of hydro-electric power plants. This has disrupted the supply of energy, water gas and water, and drastically impacted the humanitarian situation. The World Health Organization has verified 1,920 attacks on health care facilities and services in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale russian invasion, severely compromising the accessibility and availability of even basic medical services.

 

Ukraine and Ukrainians remain committed to defending their country and the right to determine their own future – but they need our help!

 

Your support - and the support of the wider Australian community - has been critical to everything we have achieved so far. However, more needs to be done. Every dollar you give to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal will help save lives and rebuild communities.

 

Together we have already:

• in collaboration with Caritas Ukraine, supported 1.2 million people with food and clothing

• delivered over $25m in medical aid with the assistance of Qantas and the ADF

• built accommodation and shelter for 12,000 internally displaced people in Ukraine and provided bedding to another 79,000

• funded four ongoing trauma counselling and rehabilitation programs for children, adults and veterans’ and their families.

 

We have helped millions of displaced men, women and children to live safely with dignity. There is more to do. The battle continues as does our determination to provide lifesaving support to those ravaged by Putin’s war.
